PROPOSAL
Based on preliminary discussions of your writing needs, you will receive a written proposal that summarises our understanding of your needs, our rates, and agreed upon timelines. Our proposals do double duty as contracts also. As such, the proposal will include confidentiality, copyright, and non-liability clauses. This proposal must be signed and returned, either via email or fax, before we can commence work.

DEPOSIT
Along with the signed proposal, a 50% non-refundable deposit must also be received before work on the project begins. In the case of long-standing clients, the 50% deposit may be waived. (Please refer to our rates page for payment instructions.)

1st MEETING
Unless you live in the Cayman Islands, chances are good that I won’t be able to meet with you in person; but given today’s technology, that’s not a problem. I will meet with you (and your team) either by phone or video conference (Skype). I will listen intently to your writing needs and you will be free to ask as many questions of me as you’d like. I’ll also ask you a host of questions, some of which may seem irrelevant; but the more information I can gather at the get go, including any online or faxed background information, the greater the chance of my being able to deliver a first draft that hits the bull’s-eye spot on!

REVISIONS
If I’ve asked the right questions and carried out the right research, we should be able to deliver a first draft that requires few revisions. If I may clarify, revisions imply modifications and not complete rewrites.

THE FINISHED COPY
Most clients prefer delivery of their finished copy in PDF or WORD format, which is provided via email. We are also happy to provide hard copies via mail or fax, and/or send a copy to you on CD.

COPYRIGHT
Upon receipt of full payment, copyright is 100% yours.

GRAPHIC SERVICES
While we’re definitely writers and not graphic designers, we do work with an experienced team of both graphic designers and website developers. So if it’s a turnkey project you seek, a turnkey project we shall deliver. Just be sure to let us know during our initial meeting so that we can accommodate your request into our proposal.
